## The inputs

## How we calculate this

Yearly cost is people × hours a week × hourly cost × working weeks. Each range is that cost times the share of hours the outcome saves.

- Gone saves 70 to 90% of the task's hours. Work that should not need a person at all.
- Faster saves 30 to 60% of the task's hours. Needs your judgement, not the first hour of it.
- Smaller saves 15 to 40% of the task's hours. Will not go away, but can shrink.
